We had a wonderful stay at Casa Rural Goiena Guest House. the owner was incredibly sweet and prepared a delicious breakfast for us, including fresh orange juice from their own tree. the house is situated in a beautiful setting, with a lovely view from our window, especially in the misty morning. It was the perfect location for visiting Gaztelugatxe, just 11km away. We had a peaceful sleep, only hearing faint sounds of occasional traffic and distant dogs. the owner was a real charmer and provided helpful recommendations. the room and bathroom were spacious and impeccably clean. the wifi worked well, and we were pleasantly surprised to have heating in April. We also appreciated the kettle and tea selection in the room. it was a homelike and charming experience. Cons: Everything is what I need and want. 😊.

I had been wanting to visit the Hermitage of Saint Pelayo for a long time, so I chose Casa Rural Goiena Guest House primarily because of its location. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free self parking provided onsite. the free WiFi throughout the property was a great bonus. I also enjoyed the fact that Casa Rural Goiena includes a barbecue facility.

It is a shame that this property was not as depicted in the photos on the website. The bedrooms need netting at the windows to prevent flies from entering the room.

I loved the free Wi-Fi, it gave me the perfect opportunity to post selfies on Instagram while enjoying the beautiful garden and playing games in the TV lounge. The terrace had amazing views, I felt like I was in a romantic movie.

Oh, and let's not forget the stunning views from the terrace, what a disappointment! Who wants to see nature and mountains anyway?
